Apply for Residency
The Future residency invites artists, weirdos, punks, analog photographers, witches, healers, tattooers, mediums, esoteric researchers, zinesters, astrologers, acupuncturists and beyond to engage with the space and community. This includes public, performance, and installation artists, those working in social practice and beyond.
Residencies last ten days, give or take, and residents are asked to culminate their stay in an exhibit, workshop, talk, presentation, seance, public art project, procession, publication, dinner or otherwise.
Residents have access to a small workspace room with a bed, a shared larger work/study/workshop space with a shared kitchen, and a shower, bicycle, and magical library. In the heart of the Witch District!
The next residency call will close September 15, 2019 for residencies in Winter-Spring 2020. Residencies are full through 2019.
There is no cost for the residency. If you're able to donate to the space, great! If not, no worries--ability to pay is not a factor in choosing residents.
The residency hosts one person at a time. We love animals, but aren't able to host any during the residency. The space is NOT scent free, as there are essential oils in use to make our in-house line.
WTF folks especially encouraged to apply.
There are three types of residencies offered: Witch Residency, Riso Residency + Weaver's Residency. All are based out of The Future. All submissions are through the form below. Please indicate what you're applying for in the application.
This is a residency for any and all witches, healers, magic workers, astrologers, artists, weirdos, tarot readers, herbalists, etc. to work on whatever you'd like during your time at the residency.
Unless indicated otherwise, we'll assume this is the residency you're applying for.
