Saturn Planetary Intention Candle

An intention candle dedicated to Saturn, father of time, master builder, lord of Winter, reaper of all that is sown.

Created to be burned during intention setting, Saturn devotions, ritual work, or as an altar candle. It can also be used as a candle to honor Saturn (Kronos) for devotional or remediation work, during heavy Saturn transits, and to honor Capricorn or Aquarius.

The meaning behind the Saturn candle is to bring focus and attention to working with our own integrity, perseverance, truth, mindfulness and for supporting structure in our lives

In astrology, Saturn is the father of time.

Saturn wakes us up to reality and asks us to discern what it is we need to do to leave our mark on the world. It shows us that our time here on Earth is finite which in turn teaches us not to squander what days we are given. It teaches us that all things born will eventually die and be given back to the Earth which it came from. And that with death comes new life and the cycle begins again.

Virtues of Saturn are responsibility, maturity, diligence, honesty, stability, structure and fortitude. We are rewarded with strength, wealth, legacy and stability if we show up for ourselves in our inner and outer worlds and put in the hard work that is demanded of us. Saturn rules the zodiacal signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Together, these two signs represent how we must honor tradition, learn the rules of that which we are working with, and master the work if we are to successfully break the mold and begin to innovate something for ourselves and humanity.

***It’s important to note that Saturn does have a nature that is cold, dry, discerning, harsh and restricting. Sometimes this can be very difficult and depressing. I feel that this candle is a safe way to honor Saturn experiences in our lives by putting them in a constructive, healing and humbling way. The herbs and minerals that I have used in this candle are known for their rooted, stable and protective qualities. These are herbs that help reinforce boundaries, are extremely protective, represent sacred knowledge and wisdom, and dispel grief and sadness.

Hand poured with 100% pure UNSCENTED beeswax, dressed with cottonwood buds, boneset, Solomon’s Seal, comfrey, myrrh, horsetail and onyx. These particular herbs and minerals are all meaningful and sacred to Saturn and its significations. As with all intention candles, this one is never scented so that it doesn’t interfere with your intention setting.

**For best results with your intention candle,  burn this candle for 2-3 hours maximum and never leaving the candle unattended.*Keep the wick centered and trimmed 1/8”-1/4" before lighting it each time for a clean, safe and even burn. Extinguish the candle if the flame seems too high and /or smoking occurs. 

“Burning beeswax candles is said to have healing properties by producing negative ions,  purifying the air and improving one’s health, energy and mood.” In addition, I have chosen not to scent this candle due to the warm, rich scent of honey that the beeswax produces.
