Some whooping cranes as the queen of branches. The branch seen is of a Kapok, Ceiba Tree: Yaaxche (Maya) Ceiba pentandra. The cotton like fibers of the tree make "pochote," a highly valuable fiber for clothing since pre-Hispanic times. The tree in Mayan culture is also believed to connect the living, the dead, and the cosmos.
