The ten of branches is my ode to nola and the memories of watching kindergarteners color in the drips of blood when I was teaching . The ten of wands /branches is about self sacrifice and being worn down (a feeling I have been relating to a lot recently). The imagery is inspired by the Louisiana flag, which is inspired by Catholic sailors images. I used white pelicans in this because of seeing a flock of them in Xochimilco for my birthday with @kayaking.xochimilco . Magnolia branches represent the branches in this print. The first fossilized flower and native here in Mexico and throughout the gulf coast. I included a magnolia seed pod as they are probably my favorite seed pods (minus dragonfruit).
