Andrea Jacobs is an artist, printmaker, plant enthusiast, and tattoo artist from Minneapolis, MN. With a multidisciplinary practice, she focuses mostly on screen printing and drawing, but continually floats between other medium including, painting, sewing, paper-making, and textile work.
Her work lives on the intersection of science and spirituality, stirring together the tangible with the intangible. By illustrating flora and fauna and exploring their intricate and complex detail she mediates on life, death, and the interconnectedness of all things. She’s continually drawing inspiration from the realms of botany, ecology, herbalism, poetry, folklore, and ritual.
